Medical Check-up: Buhari departs Nigeria for London

As earlier announced, President Muhammadu Buhari, has embarked on a two-week medical check-up in London.

Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, who announced this yesterday, said his principal will depart today after meeting with top military commanders.

During the meeting earlier, Mr Buhari charged security chiefs to immediately end kidnapping and banditry prevalent across the country.

Ibrahim Gambari, chief of staff to the president; Muhammed Bello, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT); and Muhammed Adamu, inspector-general of Police, were among those at the airport to bid the president, who is expected back second week of next month, farewell.
