Abdulrasheed Maina, former chairperson of the Pension Reform Taskforce Team (PRTT) is to be henceforth remanded in prison pending the conclusion of his trial.
The verdict was given today by a federal high court trying Mr Maina who is facing money laundering charges instituted against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Justice Okon Abang had declared him wanted after the ex-pension boss severally refused to appear in court for trial.
The accused was extradited back to the country yesterday from Niger Republic after he jumped bail, a development which incarcerated his surety, Senator Ali Ndume, who regained freedom after the court granted him bail on compassionate ground.
