Magu’s arrest: You are reaping what you sowed, Shehu Sani tells EFCC

Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central representative, has accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of lying.

Mr Sani who made the remarks today said the anti-graft agency was reaping what it sowed.

The former lawmaker was reacting to the explanation of the EFCC that its acting chairman was not arrested as reported in some sections of the media. Magu, it claimed, was on his way to the force headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) on another assignment when he was intercepted and invited to immediately appear at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

But in his response, Mr Sani accused the EFCC of twisting the fact when it invited him to appear before it. He said although he honored the invitation of the EFCC with his lawyer, the anti-graft agency told the media that he was arrested.

“You invited me,I voluntarily honored with my lawyer and you fed the media with the news that I was arrested. They learnt from you,” the former lawmaker said in a Monday tweet.
