Lamidi Apapa, the factional chairman of the Labour Party (LP) has again appeared at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) where he was recently booed.
Mr Apapa had sought the court’s recognition as the acting National chairman of the LP on Wednesday but the five-member panel refused over the leadership crisis bedeviling the opposition party and adjourned pre-hearing to Friday.
This was after he verbally attacked an official of the party in the opposing camp of seats reserved for the party in the court room.
After the court session, he was booed by supporters of the Abure-led faction who described him as a thief.
Speaking on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily yesterday, he vowed to return to the election tribunal on the next sitting, hoping to be recognised.
On Friday, he appeared again and sat at the back seat leaving the seat reserved for party officials.
