Kanu’s Trial: Security agencies watch as pro-Buhari thugs attack Sowore

In the presence of security agencies, political activist Omoyele Sowore came under attack by thugs loyal to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Mr Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters, was at the federal high court in Abuja to attend the court sitting of detained leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu.

Mr Kanu kidnapped from Kenya in June was transferred to Abuja to continue his treasonable felony trial which the federal government has now amended to include abusing the Nigerian leader.

Arriving at the court vicinity Thursday morning, the former presidential candidate was barred from gaining access into the court premises.

Security agencies comprising of the State Security Service (SSS), Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and Nigerian Army were all present and watching when some thugs attacked the publisher who was waiting outside the court premises pending when he will be allowed in.

While the melee was on, SSS agents were seen mocking Mr Sowore whose attackers were shouting ‘One Nigeria’ while physically hitting him.

No arrest was made although the attackers were later chased away by supporters of the activist who wore Igbo traditional attires.
