Kano commissioner sacked for celebrating Kyari’s death tests positive for Coronavirus

Muazu Magaji, former Kano Commissioner of Works, has tested positive for Coronavirus disease.

Mr Magaji announced his status Thursday morning, calling on Nigerians to pray for him.

“This morning my NCDC test is out,” the ousted commissioner announced on Facebook, adding that: “I have been confirmed Covid-19 Positive… And have been moved to one of the state facilities…pray for us!”

The former commissioner was ousted by the Kano State Government headed by Umar Ganduje, for allegedly celebrating the death of Abba Kyari.

Mr Kyari, the immediate past Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, died of Coronavirus disease despite receiving treatment at a private hospital in Lagos state.
