Kano commissioner rejoices over Kyari’s death, gets sacked, reacts

Muazu Magaji, Kano State Works Commissioner, has been sacked for expressing how he felt over the death of Abba Kyari, the deceased Chief of Staff (CoS) to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Mr Kyari perceived to be ‘too powerful’ at the corridor of power, passed away on Friday. He was buried earlier today, according to Islamic rites.

Mr Magaji who reacted to the demise on Facebook suggested that the country is now free from the grip of Mr Kyari.

“Win win… Nigeria is free and Abba kyari ya mutu a cikin annoba… Mutuwar shahada in Har da Imani mutum ya cika!,” one of the commissioner’s post on the social networking site read.

But in a swift response, the commissioner of information, Muhammad Garba, in a statement on Saturday announced the sack of the politician as being approved by the state governor, Umar Ganduje.

Mr Garba said his colleague was relieved of his duty over unguided utterances against the deceased.

“The action of a public servant, personal or otherwise reflects back on the government and therefore, the Ganduje administration would not tolerate people in official capacities engaging in personal vendetta or otherwise,” the statement read.

Reacting to his dismissal, Magaji said the decision to relieve him was a difficult one adding thathe will remain loyal to the administration of Ganduje

“HE AU Ganduje has relieved me of my appointment as Commissioner in Kano State Government! I remain grateful and appreciative HE difficullt decision,” he confirmed on Facebook.

“I remain every inch a Loyalist to HE as my Governor and will do everything in my power to protect his Government,” Magaji added.
