Kagara Abduction: 42 declared missing after headcount

After a headcount of students at the Government Science College in Kagara, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, the number of abductees have been made known.

Armed men stormed the school premises early Wednesday morning and abducted students and staff of the boarding school.

One of the students have been confirmed dead in the school apparently killed by the unknown gunmen.

In a report published Wednesday afternoon, Daily Nigerian, the news medium quoted school authorities as saying forty-two persons were missing after the headcount.

It gave the breakdown comprising of 27 students, 3 staff and 12 of their family members as being declared missing.

Meanwhile President Muhammadu Buhari has dispatched service chiefs to the area, ordering them to ensure the rescue and safe return of the abductees.
