IPOB replies Miyetti Allah threatening to kill Igbos over death of violent herdsmen

The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has replied Miyetti Allah threatening to eliminate South-Easterners in revenge for the death of violent herdsmen in the region.

Spokesman of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Saleh Alhassan, in an interview with Punch Newspapers threatened that his group will unleash mayhem to revenge the death of over fifty of its members who bear arms and attack host communities when challenged on destroying crops of farmers in the Igbo predominantly area.

Across the country, the problematic pastoralists are killing residents of host communities at will with the security agencies looking the other way, a situation which led a former Interior Minister, Abdulrahman Dambazau, to accuse them of aiding the killings.

The havoc of violent herdsmen in the South-East and the lackadaisical attitudes of leaders from geo-political zone forced the secessionist group to launch its security outfit known as Eastern Security Network (ESN) with a mandate to chase out the herders mostly indicted for violent crimes.

“So far, more than 50 herders have been killed in the South-East in the last one month, we have the record and the Igbo terrorists led by Nnamdi Kanu will pay for everybody they killed,” Mr Alhassan threatened. “It is unfortunate that they have forgotten history, how we saved a lot of Igbos in the North during the Civil War but now they are killing our people. They are making a grievous mistake. We will take necessary steps, both legal and cultural steps, to avenge the killings of our members.”

Responding, Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the separatist movement said his group will not fold its arms and do nothing like state governments in the region who weep when citizens are killed and do nothing thereafter.

“Miyetti Allah, hear this: IPOB is not S/E Govs. We’re after your TERRORIST herdsmen & Fulani killers,” Mr Kanu said on Twitter, Thursday evening. “If you implement this your THREAT, it shall be blood for blood & you will lose.”

  1. I am not a fan of MNK but I on his side in this aspect. Who owns Nigeria more than the other, I am must ask. What or who gave the Fulani killers more right than the other?
