Insecurity: You’ve failed, change strategy, Shehu Sani tells Buhari

Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker has urged President Muhammadu Buhari stop his blame game while Nigerians are killed daily.

TODAY POLITICS reported how the president blamed restrictions put in place to checkmate the spread of Coronavirus disease as cause of rising insecurity.

Mr Buhari in his democracy day speech said the recent massacre of Nigerians in his home state Katsina and Borno were as a result of measures put in place to fight the pandemic disease.

In his reaction, the former lawmaker urged the president to accept he has failed to secure the country, advising him to restrategize.

“Blaming #COVID19 restrictions for the ongoing mass murder in the North is outrightly meaningless,” Mr Sani said in a tweet Friday afternoon.

“The Government must owned up to its evident failure and reset its strategy in order to end the slaughter of Our people,” he added.

A similar advise has also been given to the president by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
