Insecurity: I’ll no longer accept excuses for failure, Buhari warns Security Chiefs

President Muhammadu Buhari says he will henceforth not accept excuses again for failures of security chiefs in tackling insecurity.

Mr Buhari made the remarks on Thursday while in a meeting with security chiefs over rising insecurity in the country, particularly in the Northwest region.

This is coming a day after the United States of America urged the federal government to halt the daily killings of Nigerians.

The National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, made this known while briefing State House Correspondents after the meeting.

“He said he expected them to henceforth live up to expectations,” Mr Moguno quoted the president as saying.

While Boko Haram terrorists are still carrying out pockets of attacks in the Northeast, Herdsmen, Bandits and Kidnappers are having a field day in the Northwest and across the country, spiking the rise of insecurity in the nation.
