Imo police confirms attack on Obiozor’s home, says no life was lost

The Imo State command of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) on Saturday confirmed an attack on the home of George Obiozor, president of apex Igbo socio-cultural organization Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

The property located in Awo-Omamma area of Oru East Local Government Area came under attack by unknown gunmen.

Confirming the attack, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Micheal Abattam said no casualty was recorded.

“There was an attack on Obiozor’s house early this morning,” Mr Abattam confirmed to Vanguard. “Officially no report of lives lost.”

Account of eye witnesses said the residence of Obiozor’s brother, which is around the vicinity, was also touched.
