How fans contributed to the breakup of P-Square: Peter Okoye

Peter Okoye, a singer of the defunct P-Square Records now known as Mr P, says their ‘fans’, a nickname used in describing devotees, contributed to the dissolution of the musical group.

Mr Okoye and his twin brother Paul, now known as Rude Boy, formed the record and has released so many albums featuring themselves. They have also collaborated with other music stars.

In 2017, a family squabble between the musical duo forced them to split, disbanding the P-Square Records. This was after a 2016 rift between them and their elder brother, Jude, who manages the musical duo.

Reacting to comments from their admirers who said the duo would have won an award at the recent 63rd Grammy if they were still together, Peter blasted enthusiasts of the defunct music record.

In an Instagram live interaction on Sunday, Mr P, as he is fondly called, said their fans contributed to the division by choosing between him and his brother, who performed best.

He advised they should move on since they have achieved their sole aim.

For those trying to troll us, if it is painful for you, it’s not painful for us. You guys don’t matter anymore. Let me say it openly, if you are a P-Square angry fan, you guys don’t matter anymore. It’s not about you guys anymore, it’s about us. Go and deal with your sour,” the angry singer said.

“Don’t let me hit on you guys because you guys don’t even deserve it. Because you guys are among the people that contributed to the break-up. Two brothers doing their own thing, you try to say one is better than one. Una don get wetin una want.

“You guys are doing that to Davido and Wizkid, maybe when they start taking arms and killing themselves; you guys will be happy. You guys go deal with your sour, we have to move on, you should move on too,” he added.
