Globacom, telecommunication company, has denied owing its counterpart, MTN, interconnect charges.
The indigenous firm was reportedly owing the foreign firm the charges, prompting the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) to approve the disconnection of outgoing calls from Glo users to MTN subscribers effective January 8.
However, The Nation quoting an anonymous official of Glo said the company was not owing MTN, attributing the development to improper cross checking before conclusions.
“We are not owing MTN any interconnect charges,” the source said on Tuesday.
Also, checks by TODAY POLITICS on Wednesday indicated that Glo customers were still allowed to make outgoing calls to MTN users.
