Gambari assumes duty as Buhari’s new Chief of Staff

President Muhammadu Buhari has officially unveiled Agboola Gambari as his new Chief of Staff.

Mr Gambari succeeds Abba Kyari, the deceased Chief of Staff to the president who died of Coronavirus complications.

A presidential aide, Bashir Ahmed, said his principal unveiled the new appointee during the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, Wednesday.

The announcement was made during the gathering by Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

“President @MBuhari has appointed Professor Ibrahim Gambari, as his Chief of Staff, Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, announced the appointment today at the virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting,” Mr Ahmed tweeted Wednesday afternoon.

Mr Gambari joined other government officials to discuss during the FEC meeting.
