Fuel price hike : Buhari heartless, NLC president most useless: Adeyanju

President Muhammadu Buhari has been described as being heartless for presiding over series of petrol price hikes since he took over in 2015.

Deji Adeyanju, convener of an advocacy group, Concerned Nigerians, gave the description while reacting to the recent increase of fuel price yesterday.

Mr Adeyanju also lashed out at Ayubba Wabba, president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), which is still protesting against moves to include minimum wage in the concurrent list.

The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) announced the increase to N212 Thursday night but has now deleted the price template on its website amidst backlash from Nigerians.

“You are the most useless NLC president in the history of Nigeria,” the activist told the NLC helmsman on WhatsApp Friday morning, “6 fuel price increases, no single protest or mass action nationwide. Big shame indeed.”

In series of tweets on Twitter he said Mr Buhari who protested and met fuel at N87 when he took over in 2015 is heartless, while the “useless NLC will not do anything about the fuel price hike.”
