First batch of A-29 super tucano aircrafts arrive Nigeria

Nigeria took delivery of the first batch of A-29 Super Tucano aircrafts purchased from the United States of America.

The jets, six in numbers, which arrived Kano State Thursday afternoon, are part of the 12 aircraft to be supplied by the foreign nation.

The arrival was announced in a statement by the Director Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore, Edward Gabkwet.

Mr Gabkwet in a terse statement said the consignment were received by Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi (Rtd), Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao.
