FG extends eased lockdown, total lockdown in Kano by two weeks

The Federal Government has extended the total eased lockdown nationwide while extending the total lockdown in Kano State for more two weeks.

This was announced Monday evening by Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and a member of the Presidential Task Force (PTF).

The PTF submitted its recommendation yesterday.

Mr Mustapha said President Muhammadu Buhari who gave the approval also ordered that measures sustained during the phase one of the eased lockdown be maintained for another two weeks.

“Based on the recommendations of the PTF, Mr President has approved the following:

“The measures, exemptions, advisories and scope of entities allowed to reopen under phase one of the eased locked down, shall be maintained across the federation for another two weeks effective from 12 00 midnight today (18th May, 2020 to 1st June, 2020).

“Maintain the existing lockdown order in Kano for an additional two weeks,” the SGF said on Monday during the press briefing of the PTF.
