FCT in daily lead as Nigeria records 453 new COVID-19 infections

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced the confirmation of 453 fresh Coronavirus disease infections in the country.

In its latest daily data published Saturday night in which the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) led, the agency said 407 patients recovered from the pandemic disease while 6 fatalities were recorded nationwide.

The new figure brings the total number of confirmed cases to 46,140 out of which 33,044 have been treated and discharged while the death toll increased to 942 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 453 new cases are reported from 20 states- FCT (75), Lagos (71), Benue (53), Delta (39), Borno (30), Enugu (25), Plateau (24), Osun (20), Abia (19), Oyo (17), Kaduna (16), Kano (13), Ebonyi (13), Ogun (9), Kwara (7), Ondo (6), Gombe (3), Ekiti (2), Akwa Ibom (1) and Rivers (1).
