The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is leading again in the latest daily data of Coronavirus disease infections in the country.
In its latest statistics published Friday night by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), the FCT is ahead with 93 cases out of the 462 announced by the disease agency.
The nation’s capital had on Thursday took over the lead with 96 cases from Lagos State which has always led and had 89 cases at the time.
The new confirmed cases brings the total number of infections nationwide to 43,151 out of which 19,565 have been treated and discharged while the death toll increased to 879 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The 462 new cases are reported from 16 states- FCT (93), Lagos (78), Plateau (64), Kaduna (54), Oyo (47), Ondo (32), Adamawa (23), Bauchi (19), Rivers (9), Ogun (9), Delta (9), Edo (7), Kano (6), Enugu (6), Nasarawa (5) and Osun (1).
Also, while one fatality occurred nationwide, 295 patients recovered from the deadly virus in the past 24 hours.
