Fani-Kayode shames Zamfara deputy governor for refusing to dump PDP for APC

For refusing to join his principal to decamp to the All Progressive Congress (APC) the deputy governor of Zamfara State, Mahdi Aliyu, has betrayed the state governor Bello Metawalle.

The above remark is from Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which Mr Aliyu belongs to.

The number two citizen of Zamfara State had refused moving to the APC with Mr Metawalle who in June dumped the PDP.

His decision to remain in the opposition party has hurled him against the governor and members of the state house of assembly who accused him of misconduct.

The lawmakers who defected with the governor moved to impeach the deputy governor but were stopped by a court order in favour of Mr Aliyu.

Commenting on the issue on Tuesday, the former Aviation Minister lashed out at the deputy governor, shaming him in the process.

Mr Fani-Kayode, on Twitter, said that by refusing to decamp to the APC, the deputy governor was being disloyal to the finger that fed him.

“When a Governor decamps from one party to another shouldn’t his Deputy go with him?” the former minister queried. “Is that not what loyalty is all about?

“Against his better judgement @Bellomatawalle1 picked you as his running mate & made you Deputy Governor & now you undermine & betray him?

“Shame on you!,” he added.
