Facebook yanks off Nnamdi Kanu’s page from social network

Facebook has yanked off the page of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) on its platform.

TODAY POLITICS observed the development late Tuesday evening, moments after the secessionist leader concluded his live broadcast on the social networking site.

No reason has been tendered as at press time on why the page with over three hundred thousand likes was removed. It remained inaccessible when TODAY POLITICS rechecked early Wednesday morning.

Mr Kanu who uses the page to propagate the activities of his group recently threatened to enforce the anti-open grazing law banning pastoralists from wandering about with their animals by foot.

The fugitive had also issued a two weeks ultimatum to violent herdsmen residing in forests across the South-East geo-political zone to vacate. The herders are often accused of terrorising residents among other criminal activities.
