#EndSARS activist Odele invited for retrieval of seized passport

The Nigeria Immigration Service NIS has invited Modupe Odele, a promoter of #EndSARS campaign, to come retrieve her seized international passport.

Ms Odele had her passport confiscated at the airport on November 1 while on her way out of the country.

While notifying the public, she explained that the reason for the seizure was not made known to her. The action coincided with an alleged no-fly list targeting the promoters of the nationwide action demanding extensive police reforms.

She has been invited to come retrieve the traveling document today but the legal practitioner says she is picking it up next week.

“I’ve been told by Immigration that my passport is ready for collection from 4pm today. I’ve respectfully informed them I’ll be there on Monday to pick it up,” Odele announced Friday afternoon.

“Since today is Friday, I asked for an earlier time but was told it will only be ready from 4pm today Friday,” she said on Twitter.
