Dusk to dawn curfew imposed in Imo after gun battle by soldiers and ESN

Hope Uzodinma the executive governor of Imo has imposed a dusk to dawn curfew in parts of the state.

The curfew comes moments after personnel of the Nigerian military engaged men of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) in a gun battle.

A video clip circulating on social media and seen by TODAY POLITICS confirmed one dead as at press time.

The development is said to be a reprisal on members of the security outfit owned by the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) who attacked the military at the weekend.

The imposed curfew affected nine local government areas. They are Orlu, Oru East, Isu, Nwangele, Njiaba, Ideato North, Ideato South, Nkwere and Orsu.
