Days after offering amnesty, Anambra bandits raze Soludo’s LG council

Bandits on Thursday evening razed the local government headquarter where Governor Charles Soludo hails from.

This is coming days after Mr Soludo pleaded with the bandits to lay down their arms after officially declaring an end to sit-at-home exercise in the Igbo speaking state.

Multimedia reports online showed that some buildings in Aguata local government headquarter cited in Ekwulobia axis of the area went up in flames.

A local source told TODAY POLITICS that some workers in the complex were still inside the building when the armed men arrived and set it ablaze.

On Sunday, two officers of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) were killed in the same council.

The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) have been fingered as the arrowhead of the attacks but the foremost separatist group in the South-East geo-political zone has severally denied responsibility after calling off the exercise.
