COVID-19: Plateau leads as Nigeria records 298 fresh infections, 1 fatality

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC has announced the confirmation of 298 fresh cases of Coronavirus disease infections in the country.

This was made known in its daily data published Sunday night. The report also said 207 patients recovered from the pandemic disease while 1 fatality was recorded in the past 24 hours nationwide.

The new figure, which shows Plateau State leading with 108 cases, brings the total number of confirmed cases to 49,068, out of which 36,497 have been treated and discharged while the death toll increased to 975 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 298 new cases are reported from 16 states- Plateau (108), Kaduna (49), Lagos (47), Ogun (18), Osun (17), FCT (15), Ondo (14), Edo (8), Oyo (6), Akwa Ibom (4), Cross River (4), Borno (3), Ekiti (2), Bauchi (1), Kano (1) and Rivers (1).
