COVID-19: Nigeria records lowest number of infections in 3 months

One hundred and sixty new cases of the Coronavirus disease infections have been reported in Nigeria, making it the lowest since the last three months.

In its daily update on Friday night, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said 291 recovered from the deadly virus in the past 24 hours with no fatality.

The new figure brings the total number of confirmed cases to 53,477, out of which 41,017 have been treated and discharged while the death toll remained at 1011 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 160 new cases are reported from 15 states- Plateau (44), Lagos (27), Katsina (18), Edo (15), FCT (14), Ondo (10), Oyo (9), Kwara (6), Abia (4), Nasarawa (4), Kano (3), Ekiti (2), Kaduna (2), Kebbi (1) and Ogun (1).
