COVID-19: Nigeria records 250 new cases, zero death

Two hundred and fifty new cases of the Coronavirus disease infections have been reported in the country by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday.

In its daily update published yesterday night, the agency said 297 patients recovered from the pandemic disease with no death toll in the past 24 hours.

The new figure brings the total number of confirmed cases to 53,727, out of which 41,314 have been treated and discharged while the death toll remained at 1011 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 250 new cases are reported from 20 states- Plateau (69), FCT (41), Lagos (21), Delta (14), Kaduna (14), Bayelsa (13), Enugu (13), Ekiti (11), Bauchi (9), Ogun (8), Edo (7), Oyo (7), Rivers (6), Adamawa (4), Osun (4), Nasarawa (3), Ebonyi (2), Kwara (2), Gombe (1) and Imo (1).
