COVID-19: New 664 cases confirmed in Nigeria

Fresh Coronavirus disease cases of 664 in numbers have been confirmed in the country by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

In its latest data released Saturday night, about 308 patients recovered from the deadly virus while 15 deaths occurred in the last 24 hours.

The new figure brings the total number of confirmed cases nationwide to 31,987 out of which 13,103 have been treated and discharged while 724 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 664 new cases are reported from 18 states- Lagos(224), FCT(105), Edo(85), Ondo(64), Kaduna(32), Imo(27), Osun(19), Plateau(17), Oyo(17), Ogun(17), Rivers(14), Delta(11), Adamawa(10), Enugu(7), Nassarawa (6), Gombe(3), Abia(3) and Ekiti(3).

So far, 178,265 samples have been tested since the pandemic broke out in the country in February while 18,160 are currently active cases nationwide.
