COVID-19: Lagos places immediate ban on religious gathering of more than 50 people

Lagos State Government has placed an immediate ban on all religious gathering of more than fifty people.

The decision was taken after a meeting with religious leaders in the state today.

Announcing the ban is the commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Elegushi, who said the restriction is partial and will be last for four weeks.

This is one of the measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic which originated from China. The state recorded additional four cases of the disease today.
