COVID-19: Buhari finally wears face mask

President Muhammadu Buhari has finally put on a face mask to apparently prevent himself from contracting Coronavirus disease.

Mr Buhari, who has never wore the mask since the pandemic disease broke out, appeared with it while alighting from the presidential jet in Mali where he went for peace mission in the troubled country.

The photograph showing the president with face mask was shared by Bayo Omoboriowo, his personal photographer.

Although the deadly virus broke out in China late last year, it however found it way into Nigeria late February. The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 made it compulsory for anyone appearing in public to wear face mask but that has not been the case with the president.

Mr Buhari, despite receiving visitors, including those from foreign countries, continued flouting the protocol, although his aide later stated his reason for not wearing face mask.
