COVID-19: Address Nigerians, Senate begs President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari have been asked to address Nigerians on the measures taken so far to checkmate the rising cases of Coronavirus disease in the country.

The country confirmed five new cases today in addition to 3 old cases already existing.

The plea was made by the Nigerian Senate on Wednesday during plenary following a motion by Senator Danjuma Goje.

The upper legislative chamber also asked the president to restrict large gatherings and create testing centres in all the states of the federation.

The red chamber also asked for the suspension of visa on arrival, a decision that has already been implemented by the Federal Government earlier in the day.
