Court restrains AGF, SSS from arresting Igboho, freezing his bank accounts

An ex-parte motion from Sunday Adeyemo seeking to restrain the State Security Service (SSS) and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) from arresting, intimidating and freezing his bank accounts has been granted.

Justice Ladiean Akintola of Oyo High Court granted the motion moved by Yomi Aliu (SAN), lawyer of Mr Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho, on Wednesday.

Mr Igboho had sued the secret police and the AGF, demanding for N5.5million as damages on his Ibadan residence on July 1st when the self-styled Department of State Services (DSS) raided his Soka home.

Justice Akintola adjourned hearing of the suit to August 18.
