A federal high court in Abuja adjourned the arraignment of Hadi Sirika, a former aviation minister and his brother Ahmad Abubakar Sirika.
Justice Suleiman Belgore made the adjournment after the lawyer to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Oluwaleke Atolagbe, notified the court that the defendants have not been served.
Mr Atolagbe, thereafter, prayed for adjournment which the judge granted, rescheduling the arraignment for May 23, 2024.
Aside the 6-count charge bordering on contract fraud which he pleaded not guilty to, the former minister and his younger brother will face another 8-count charge on same subject matter.
He is accused of abusing his office and awarding several aviation contracts to Enginos Nigeria Limited, a company owned by his sibling.
