Coronavirus: Nigeria confirms four new cases, total now 40

The Coronavirus disease cases in the country has continued to increase with the additional discovery of four new cases by the Federal Ministry of Health late Monday.

With the latest discovery, the total number of cases now stands at 40, from the 36 it was on Monday morning.

Out of the four new cases, three are in Lagos State while one is at Abuja, the nation’s capital. Two of these new cases are returning travellers.

Out of the 40 confirmed cases, 2 have been discharged and 1 death recorded while 37 are currently active cases.

For a breakdown of cases by states in real time indicates that Lagos has 28 cases, Abuja 7 cases, Ogun 2 cases while Ekiti, Oyo and Edo states have 1 case each.
