President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the distribution of 150 trucks of smuggled rice into the country.
The approval is said to be one of the measures by the federal government to alleviate the pains of Nigerians.
Mr Buhari ordered the Nigeria Custom Service (NCS) to handover the trucks of rice to the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
This was made public on Tuesday morning through the official Twitter handle of the federal government.
As part of palliative measures in light of the #Covid19 pandemic, President @MBuhari has approved the release by @CustomsNG of 150 trucks of rice seized from smugglers, to @FMHDSD for distribution across the country.
