COVID-19: Nigeria shuts all international airports to foreign flights

The Federal Government has closed down all its international airport in the country to foreign flights.

The international airports in Abuja, Lagos, Kano, Enugu and Rivers will on Monday close all foreign flights until April 23.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Capt. Musa Nuhu.

This is coming as one of the measures taken by the government to checkmate the spread of Coronavirus disease in the country.

The country on Saturday recorded additional 10 cases of the pandemic disease, which originated from China late last year, bringing the total cases to 22 out of which 2 has tested negative and discharged.

The statement added that domestic flight operations would continue normally in all airports in the country.
