Buhari: Why Ondo people should re-elect Akeredolu

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday called on the people of Ondo State to re-elect Rotimi Akeredolu, incumbent governor of the state seeking re-election.

Mr Akeredolu is the gubernatorial candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC). Agboola Ajayi, deputising him is also interested in the job, running on the platform of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) to oust his principal.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Eyitayo Jegede, is also in the October 10 race.

Tweeting from his verified Twitter handle, the Nigerian leader said the candidate of his party ought to be re-elected to consolidate on his achievements in office.

He believes the governor is a good brand and has performed excellently well of which he is proud of.

“I have no doubt that Governor @RotimiAkeredolu is a good brand for the APC to market,” Buhari stated this afternoon.

“I am particularly delighted by his ingenious approach to governance. His performance within the limits of available resources is endearing.

“Governor Akeredolu deserves to be re-elected to consolidate the good work he commenced in his first term. I am not just proud of his achievements; I am confident he will enjoy the mandate of the good people of Ondo State for the second term,” he added.
