President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the 2019 appropriation bill into law.
Mr Buhari gave his assent to the 8.92trillion budget on Monday at his office.
The Nigerian leader while signing the bill frowned at the increase of budget by over N90bn by lawmakers at the 8th National Assembly.
President Buhari said he will engage with the leadership of the Ninth Assembly whenever it emerges on the concerns of the executive on budget.
Notable personalities who attended the event include: Bukola Saraki, outgoing Senate President; Ike Ekweremadu, deputy Senate President and Yakubu Dogara, outgoing speaker of the House of Representatives.
Ministers of Information, Finance and the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) were also present.
