Buhari, Osinbajo receive COVID-19 vaccines

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday received the Coronavirus disease vaccines.

The duo were injected at the Old Banquet Hall of the State House in Abuja.

The President was injected with the vaccine by his Chief Personal Physician, Dr Shuaib Rafindadi Sanusi, while the Vice President was injected by Dr Nicholas Odifre, Personal Physician to the Vice President.

Mr Buhari, after receiving the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine dose, urged state governments, traditional and religious leaders to lead the mobilization effort within their spheres of influence.

“The vaccine offers hope for a safe country free of Coronavirus,” Mr Osinbajo said.
