Buhari leading Nigeria well – Femi Adesina

Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, says his principal is leading the country very well despite contrary opinions by critics.

Mr Adesina stated this Tuesday afternoon while reacting to attack on his personality for defending the president, saying plans to demonize him will not see the light of the day.

“A quote from mischief makers is making the rounds, ascribed to me. I just dey laugh. I am a Buharist any day, no apologies, and I believe the President is leading the country well. In fact, we are lucky to have him at a time like this. All attempts to demonize me will fail,” the presidential spokesman said in a tweet.

Adesina is known for clapping back at critics, not minding whose ox is gored. He has clashed with various groups with the most prominent being when he described the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) as behaving like an opposition political party.

The latest attack on him is not unconnected to recent appointment of Agboola Gambari, as the new Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.

He is accused of eating his words about Mr Gambari whom he had criticised while he was the editor of a popular national daily but is now working under him.
