The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has slammed a N5million fine on Channels Television for featuring Emma Powerful, spokesman of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB).

Mr Powerful spoke to the television station on Sunday, dismissing some of the claims of the security agencies that killed a commander of the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

The secessionist spokesman who spoke on telephone during Sunday Politics said a replacement has been appointed to fill in the gap of the deceased warlord.

In a letter dated April 26, 2021 and marked NBC/DGABV/CH/105/21, the regulatory body listed sections of the NBC act it claimed were violated and ordered the station to henceforth halt broadcasting the programme.
