Gunmen raze down home of Ohanaeze Ndigbo president

Gunmen early Saturday morning razed down the home of George Obiozor, president of apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

Chiagozie Fred Nwonwu, Nigerian journalist working with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) announced the incident on Facebook.

“The home of Ohanaeze Ndigbo leader George Obiozor was burnt down early this morning by armed men,” the journalist said.

Mr Nwonwu who promised to provide further details later, did not reveal the location of the attack. Feelers are that it might be in Imo State, where Mr Obiozor hails from.

The state has been one of the hotbeds of secessionist movements who are gradually picking up arms against the Nigerian state.
