Bandits have reportedly stormed Government Girls Secondary School in Mafara local government area of Zamfara state and kidnapped many schoolgirls.
The operation was said to have occurred early Friday morning around 1:00am.
The gunmen, according to Arise Television, came with Hilux vehicles and motorcycles and forcefully evacuated the students said to be in hundreds.
Reports suggest some of the bandits were in uniforms and pretended to be security personnel, then later broke into the students hostels and abducted more than 300 students.
