A bomb explosion has occurred in Ekiti State, early Saturday morning.
The incident reportedly occurred close the old governor’s office in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
The Ekiti State Commissioner for information and Civic Orientation, Muyiwa Olumilua, confirmed this in a statement.
According to TVC Television, the explosion pulled down a building in the area while affecting sections of the Ministry of Chieftaincy Affairs and Ministry of Finance.
Amba Asuquo, the state commissioner of police, was said to have arrived the blast scene with his men and ordered investigation into the cause of the explosion which remained unknown as at press time.
