Boko Haram confirms abducting soldiers, releases pictures

Boko Haram and Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have confirmed media reports that they abducted two soldiers of the Nigerian Army recently.

Reports said the military personnel were abducted at the weekend while on transit on Maiduguri-Damaturu highway, in the Goni Masari area of Borno.

They were said to be travelling to Kano on a public transport when the terrorists intercepted and abducted them. The driver has been detained and his vehicle impounded by the military.

Confirming the abduction, the terrorists released identity cards of the victims which includes a Yobe Liaison Officer kidnapped along the Damaturu-Maiduguri highway and one other unknown man whose ID card was not among those released.

Two of the ID cards on exhibit belong to Mai Lalle, one belongs to Mustapha, and the other belongs to Nigerian Army Lpcl Oyediran Adedotun.
