Biafra: Asari Dokubo an attention seeking joker: Lai Mohammed

Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, on Monday described former Niger Delta warlord, Asari Dokubo, as a joker for reportedly forming Biafra Customary Government (BCG).

Mr Asari, a former ally of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of a secessionist group, Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) on Sunday announced the formation of the new government and some official of the BCG.

He cited rising insecurity as his major reason, a similar excuse Mr Kanu gave white launching Eastern Security Network (ESN) late last year.

Describing the pronouncement as absurd and the proclaimer, a humorist, the minister said the President Muhammadu Buhari administration will not be distracted because it has a lot of tasks on its hands.

“If Asari Dokubo wants to form and run a government, I think he is free to do so. This administration will not be distracted because we still have a lot to do,” the minister said while speaking with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

“We are not ready to give any attention or time to a joker like Dokubo who is just looking for attention. We will just take it as one of these entertainment things.

“The beauty about Nigeria is that it is never a dull country, you must have one thing or the other to entertain you,” he said.
