Walter Onnoghen, embattled Chief Justice of Nigeria was on Friday docked before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
This was after Mr Onnoghen finally appeared at the tribunal having initially refused to present himself for trial over non-declaration of assets traced to him.
This also comes after the CCT ordered security agencies to arrest the suspended CJN.
Danladi Umar, the chairman of the CCT withdrew the arrest warrant issued against the judicial officer, this was after the defense council urged the tribunal to withdraw the warrant before reading out the charges to Onnoghen.
While at the dock, the top jurist pleaded not guilty to the six count charges preferred against him by the federal government.
Thereafter, he was granted bail on self recognizance and the call for adjournment began with the defence pleading for the continuation of the case after the general election.
After the relentless plea, Mr Umar adjourned to March 11 for continuation of trial.
The next proceedings are for the hearing of all pending applications by both the defence and the prosecution counsels.
