As Tinubu clocks 69, critics doubt age of APC chieftain

The real age of Bola Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, is causing stir online.

Mr Tinubu, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), celebrated his 69th birthday yesterday during his 12th colloquium which held in Kano State.

The rumored presidential hopeful who stumbled recently has critics doubting his acclaimed age. Most of them are saying he is older than he is touted to be.

Yinka Odumakin, a critic of the Lagos politician, have stated repeatedly that Mr Tinubu was lying about his age, saying his physical appearance cannot be of someone below 70 years.

Celebrating his political godfather, Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, in a tweet on Monday said the former governor is 64 but immediately deleted it after being bashed by his followers on the micro-blogging platform.

The tweet was replaced to rhyme with the new age but with the screenshot circulating online, it could further worsen conspiracy theories.
