For the third time in a week, unknown gunmen have attacked another police facility in Imo State.
The latest attack which occurred Wednesday night at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Mbaitoli local government area of the state, has been confirmed by Orlando Ikeokwu, the force spokesperson in the state.
According to Ikeokwu, the criminal elements also freed detained suspects.
A police officer is declared missing while two others sustained various degrees of injuries while attempting to resist the invaders.
The attack comes a day after a divisional police headquarters in Ehime Mbano was set ablaze and two days after the state police command and a correctional facility near the government house was attacked and set ablaze.
